To the High School Senior

To the High School Senior,

It's about that time of year, you've applied to all the colleges on your list, you're waiting to hear back, and graduation can't come soon enough. You only have a few months left yet they seem like the longest months ever, you're definitely dealing with a severe case of senioritis and you're really excited for college next year. Maybe your friends are receiving their acceptance letters and you have yet to recieve any feedback on your applications or maybe your stuck between two schools, don't worry so much, I promise it will all work out.

You may be wanting the time to fly by and for graduation to come quicker, trust me, I know I did. But remember, these are your last few months of high school, the last few months you'll get to see your classmates and your friends everyday. When college comes, you won't get to see these people everyday, in fact you might not see them at all. Make these last few months count. You don't want to look back and think you wish you could go back and see everyone all together just one more time. High School only happens once, its four years of your life that you love or you might hate but they're also the years where you grow into someone who's more mature, who's ready to take on college and their career, someone who has bigger goals and aspirations. It's four years where you walk out a completely different person than when you entered. It's four years where you ultimately decide your future and who you want to be.

I hope these past few years have been amazing for you, let these next few months be amazing too. I know you're probably putting off schoolwork as much as possible or it's a huge struggle to get through it but you can do it. You only have a few months left and you're done. But don't let schoolwork be everything you do, make sure you spend time with your friends, especially those who won't be close next year. Maybe you plan on going out of state for college, spend time with your family and enjoy these months in your hometown. If you don't feel ready to go out of state, you have nothing to worry about. I didn't feel ready either. Instead, take a year off or go to community college for a year and then transfer. That one year will really make a difference in who you become and you'll definitely change for the better and be ready for college out of state. If you're struggling with your last year of College, always feel free to reach out to me via social media or my email, I'm always willing to help whenever I can.

Make the summer before college count. Think of it as your last couple months as a teenager. Come August you'll be back in the school supplies aisle grabbing your own supplies without a list and at the school bookstore paying a ridiculous amount of money for textbooks. You'll be choosing your classes and finding a schedule that works for you. Spend this summer with your friends, your family, anyone your close to because who knows when you'll see them again. Make a bucket list and cross everything off on it before summer ends and take lots of pictures so it's a summer you'll never forget.

Lastly, it's okay to be concerned. These are the last few months before you have to become independent and not rely on others. Where you no longer have your parents to guide you on everything you do and where you have to step out on your own in new situations without a friend alongside you. Maybe you're going off to College but you don't know anybody else going there, you're scared to make new friends and start all over again. I promise that College will be just as great as high school, in fact it will be better but you just have to put yourself out there and really go for your aspirations and goals. It's okay to be concerned and it's okay to be scared. We've all been there. Start putting yourself out there now, take those risks you've never let yourself take and start pushing yourself to not only do more but to do better.  These four years you spend in High School have really developed you into the person you've become and you've become comfortable in the environment you're in but I promise these next four years will be unforgettable.

Pretty in Pink

Hey everyone! I can't wait for Spring and Summer, there has been some really great days where the weather has been in the mid 60's! It's probably no secret that pink is my favorite color so to get into a spring shopping mode, I put together some of my favorite pink clothing and accessories to buy for spring and summer! Enjoy!

1. Trench Coat - I have been eyeing this coat since the moment I saw it. I have been wanting a trench coat so you can imagine my excitement when I saw a pink trench coat! I bought it this past weekend and I can already tell its going to be one of my favorite purchases for the Spring.

2. Pearl Ribbon Necklace - Everyone loves to add a pop of pearls to their outfits and what better way to do it than with this cute necklace! I love how it's not your typical necklace but that it has the cutest pink ribbon detailing.

3. Crossbody Purse - Whenever I'm shopping for a purse, I always tend to gravitate to whichever one is closest to a blush pink. And, that's exactly what happened with this one. I absolutely love the color and how cute is that tassel!

4. Bow Top - I am completely and utterly obsessed with this top. It has the classiest little bow and that neckline, how can you not love it?! It's the perfect top for easter or just for a casual spring or summer outfit!

5. Sneakers - These sneakers are definitely out of my price range but they are so cute (here's a similar, more affordable pair). I love the ruffle detailing and its the perfect shade of pink for every outfit.

6. Scallop Top - This top is so simple yet so classy and cute. I love the scallop detailing and the color is gorgeous! It's great to wear under a denim jacket in the spring or with some chino shorts in the summer!

7. Bikini - I'm not a huge bikini person but whats not to love about this one? I love the cross back detail and how simple it is yet still super cute. It's perfect for summer!

8. Pearl Drop Earrings - These earrings are absolutely gorgeous and a must have for any jewelry collection. I absolutely love the pink pearls along with the gold, definitely on my to buy list!

9. Nail Polish - I think this nail polish color is definitely one of the more popular ones by ESSIE. It's called Fiji and it's my go to color during every season from fall to spring to summer to winter. Definitely the perfect shade of pink and matches everything so no worrying about if your nail polish might clash with your outfit!

10. Chino Shorts - What can I say? Chinos are a classic! So why not get them in pink? They're perfect for any outfit and will definitely add some color to your outfit!

11. Jack Rogers Sandals - I have these in white and they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. When I saw them in Pink, I was in love! The pink is perfect too because it isn't too bright and it isn't too vibrant!

12. Earrings - I love these earrings from J. Crew because they are so unique. The detail is so pretty and how can you not love the color? They are perfect to add to an outfit and really make it pop!

13. Tote -  I am completely obsessed with this tote! I use my long champ religiously for school and whenever I need to go somewhere so this tote would be the perfect replacement. The size is great and you can throw whatever you need to in it and run!

14. Blazer - Okay but who doesn't want a pink blazer to add to their closet? This one is not only an affordable option but also a super cute one! It'd look perfect with a pair of white jeans or a cute pair of chino pants!

15. Bracelet - This bracelet is so cute and is perfect to match any outfit. The pink detailing is perfect and would go great with the Jewelry I usually wear.

Current Skincare Faves

Hey everyone! For the first time in a long time, my face is completely clear of everything, from acne to redness, and it feel amazing. Lately, I've been using some new skincare products which contribute to how clear my skin has been. I wanted to share with you what I've been using and the benefits of each one Enjoy!

I bought this from Madewell since I had a coupon and I absolutely love it. I usually get really dry lips and I turn to burts bees lip balm but this lip scrub has been a game changer. It makes my lips feel soft and hydrated.

I got a sample of this from Loccitane and it feels amazing and is great for under my eyes. It's really helped with puffiness and dark circles. I got a small sample of it around Christmas time but still have tons left so while it is pricey, it lasts a very long time.

When I use this face cleanse, my face feels so soft and one small package last me 3 face washes. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't bother it, it really helps with the redness my skin gets and my face feels amazing.

I bought this on a whim when I was out of town and I am amazed by how well it works. It really hydrates my skin and makes it look amazing. It also smells fantastic and helps my face look refreshed after a long day.

I won't lie, I had pretty low expectations of how well these would work but boy was I wrong! These really do work like they say and really hydrate my face unlike a lot of sprays. I would highly recommend them if you find yourself having dry skin.

I got this creme in an ipsy bag and its fantastic! It makes my skin feel clean and hydrated. I'm also a big believer in a lot of teas for skin care so I think the green tea is a huge contribution to how well it works.

I saw a lot of people raving about these masks so when I was out one day shopping and saw a Loccitane store, I bought a few. The sales lady was so sweet and gave me a lot of other samples of their products as well and I am now a huge fan of Loccitane. These masks are amazing, the different is definitely visible and I can't even begin to describe how well they work, I 100% high recommend buying them! Linked is my favorite of the ones they have!

Cute & Comfy: Clothes for at Home

Hey everyone! If you're like me, whenever you get dressed and go out, you can't wait to get home and throw on your favorite pair of sweatpants and comfy tee. (Not going to lie, that's exactly what I'm wearing as I write this!) One thing that I try to commit to is wearing clothes that are not only comfortable but also cute since it just makes me feel better in general. Granted, when I go shopping I'm not necessarily looking for clothes to wear at home but every now and then I find a great deal on sale and get it to wear at home. The good thing is that you don't have to wear these pieces solely at home, you can wear them on a quick trip to the grocery store, to class, to work out, etc., theres lots of different option! I went through some of my favorite brands for comfortable clothing and put together some of my favorite pieces that are not only comfy but cute. Enjoy!

Galentines Day Guide

Hey Friends! I am so excited to share this blog post with you, I have had so much fun putting it together! First of all, if you're unfamiliar with what Galentine's day is, here's a little background on it! Galentine's day is originally from an episode of the TV show Parks and Recreation. Essentially, one of the characters, Leslie, in the show throws an annual party for all her lady friends and calls it her 'Galentine's Day Party' which is celebrated the day before Valentine's Day. As Leslie would describe it, “Every February 13, my ladyfriends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” Since the episode aired, many fans celebrated it and it's now a tradition for many who have never watched the show (including myself!), this article is great and goes more in-depth if you want more info on how Galentine's Day came about!

In my opinion, Galentine's day is so much more fun because who doesn't love spending time with their favorite gals? From gifts to movies to treats, I've got you covered! In this post, I'm sharing some of my favorite recipes, a gift guide (even though technically you're supposed to give handmade gifts for Galentine's Day), some movie ideas, a girl boss music playlist, and a list of fun different activities to do!

Technically when it comes to Galentine's day, you're supposed to make some handmade gifts and while you can do that, you could also buy gifts! This gift guide I put together has gifts that cost as low as $6 and are perfect to give to your favorite ladies!
If you're like me, when it comes to watching movies on girls night, you immediately turn to google to give you some ideas for movies to watch. This list of movies is of a few genres, from comedy to romance to drama, hopefully it will give you an idea of a movie to watch!

Nothing makes getting together with your friends more fun than some music! This playlist is just a few song that are empowering to women and perfect for Galentines Day!

Of course with every party and get together comes delicious treats! I'm sharing some of my favorite valentine galentines day recipes and you can find each one linked below the list!

While you probably already have some ideas on what you might do for your Galentine's day get together, I still made a list of things to do in case you're struggling to think of something. Of course, the first one that came to mind for me was shopping but in the same day you could also do a spa day, go out for dinner and end the night with a great movie and some treats and snacks! What ever you decide to do, I hope your Galentine's day is a huge success and let me know how it went!
