Jewelry That Means Something

While I love all jewelry, I've always been more inclined to buy jewelry that has meaning to it or helps a certain cause. It's such a great feeling to know what because of your purchase, you're making a huge difference in someone else's life. Here's a few of my favorites that I've found recently! Enjoy!

1. The starfish project has lots of beautiful jewelry, this piece here is one of my favorites. The starfish project helps women escape human trafficking and provides these women opportunities through care programs. These women make the jewelry and provide them with training, shelter, healthcare, counseling etc. It's such an amazing organization and they do so many amazing things!

2. This Tory Burch Foundation bracelet is geared towards embracing ambition for women. All proceeds of the bracelet purchased go towards the Tory Burch Foundation which empowers female entrepreneurs by giving them the resources to succeed. It's not every day that you find a designer brand with jewelry like this that means so much so its definitely one to check out!

3.  I love this bracelet by Alex & And because 20% of each purchase is donated to UNICEF. This is one of the many bracelets they make that a portion of the money made is donated to different charities. It's nice to see a large brand like Alex & Ani using their large popularity for good!

4. This wraparound ring is handcrafted in India and each one is unique in color and style. All proceeds of the ring is donated to World Vision to help children in need.

5. Akola has some of the most amazing pieces of jewelry and all of the necklaces have a different story. These earrings are one of my favorite pieces from them. All of the proceeds go towards women in disadvantaged communities and help them to make a positive difference through training, education and holistic care.

6. The survivor bangle is my favorite piece of jewelry I own and I am always getting questions about where I got it. Every time someone asks me where I get it, it's a great feeling to not only be able to tell them where it's from but the story behind it. Kim Corban is a rape survivor who shares her story across college campuses to raise awareness and this bracelet was created to honor her and the lives she's changed. All proceeds go to benefit Kimberly's work to raise awareness about sexual assault.

I hope that you found some new favorite jewelry pieces and this post and inspire you to buy more jewelry with meaning! I would love to know what jewelry you have that has a positive meaning!

Spring Bucketlist

Hey everyone! While the weather is denying it, it is soon to be the first day of Spring and hopefully the weather will agree for once! Since it's almost officially Spring, I created a bucket list of all the things I'd like to do before Summer time. While I am looking forward to summer with no school work and lots of fun in the sun, spring is my favorite season because all the flowers bloom, the leaves return and the weather is perfect! That being said, here is my bucket list, enjoy!

Small Towns to Visit in Ohio

Whenever I go out to enjoy the day, I tend to find myself in a small town. Nothing makes my day more than the charm of small towns and we have quite a few here in Ohio. I love walking into all the different stores and knowing that my purchase supports a small business and grabbing a bite to eat at a small diner. Not to mention, the scenery is always absolutely gorgeous! If you ever happen to find yourself in Ohio (or maybe you already live here!), heres just a few small towns you have to see! Let me know what you think of them if you ever visit or have visited them!

1. Granville

Located about half an hour outside downtown Columbus, this small town is sure to catch your eye with its New England style charm & class! There is so much to see and do here so make sure to visit this website before going!

2. Historic Dublin

Historic Dubin is such a cute town to stop for a cup of coffee and wander along the brick sidewalks and even grab some of the famous Jenis ice cream. If you're ever in the Columbus area, its definitely a must check out place!

3. Troy

By far one of my favorite small towns and only 20 minutes away from me. I find myself here often grabbing coffee at purebred, lunch at the bakehouse and shopping at all the small boutiques. So much to do and see here, definitely make a day trip out of it!

4. Yellow Springs

Yellow springs definitely isn't your typical small town, known for its free spirit and hippie vibes, it's very unique in its own way. Make sure to check out the stores and stop by Young's Dairy and grab some ice cream and play a round of mini golf!
5. Hudson

About 40 minutes from Cleveland, this little town is a must see. Such a great place to go for a stroll and see the iconic Hudson Clock Tower!

6. Tipp City

Another charming town I have the privilege of living so close to! The historic part of Tipp City is a must visit with the best coffee and grounds for pleasure and some great thrifty finds at the clothesline! If you ever happen to be in the area, you have to stop here!

7. Marietta Ohio

This little riverboat town is a go to with all of its vintage charm. With it's historic homes and victorian skyline and 5th generation shop owners, it's definitely a town you won't forget!

5 Things I do on Sundays

I always see Sundays as my most productive day of the week. Its the day where I have time to relax but also to prepare myself for the week ahead. My Sundays are full of planning so I thought I'd share a little of what I do on Sundays to prepare for the week, enjoy!

1. Clean

I can definitely be a hot mess during the week and so by the end of the week, everything is a complete mess. While I try to keep my room clean, I'm constantly out and about and by the time I'm home I am completely exhausted so I put off tidying up till the day I have time which happens to be Sundays! On Sundays when I clean, depending on how much time I have I either try to deep clean or at least organize everything on top of general cleaning.

2. Plan my week

I pull out my to do planner, my monthly planner, and my calendar to make sure everything is set in place for the week from my work schedule to appointments to school to blog posts. Working two jobs plus school and blogging can get messy so I try to keep myself as organized as possible. I actually create a weekly schedule where I try to plan how each day is spent in regards to work and school. I'll put an example of it below here. This weekly schedule is something new I'm trying but has been really useful and helped me to stay on a better schedule and live a healthier lifestyle with working out and having more energy.

3. Grocery Shopping

Since I'm planning my week, I also try to plan what meals I'll be having if possible and also what I need. By getting my grocery shopping done on Sundays, I'm able to go through the week and not have to worry about having trouble making a healthy meal. I used to just grab whatever I could eat that was fast and it always ended up making me feel terrible and was never a great option.

4. Make my schedule

If you don't know already, I work two jobs on top of taking online classes so my schedule is really dependent on me. One of my jobs has a fixed schedule and the other I make myself so when I'm planning my weekly schedule, I take this into account. I also look at what I'll need to do for my classes this week and plan when I'll be doing that.

5. Take pictures & write blog posts

I try to take a lot of pictures for Instagram (not outfit pictures) for the week if I have time since it tends to be the best day for it since my time is basically free to me and I know theres nothing scheduled for the day. In addition to pictures, I also work on planning blog posts and also writing some if I find that I'll be really busy during the week since I want to be consistent with posting content.

I hope that these 5 things I do on Sundays help you if you're trying to figure ways to be more productive before the week comes. Let me know how you spend your Sundays in the comments!

Spring Break Packing

Hey everyone! I can't believe its already March and that Spring weather is right around the corner! A lot of schools have spring break in the March or first week of April so I thought I'd put together some of my favorite things to pack. While I won't be traveling anywhere this Spring Break, I will be going on a couple of trips this Summer and I can't wait to share what I'll be packing plus some travel tips!

Some of my absolutely favorites in this post include the suitcases! I purchased the carry on this past December for a trip to West Palm and while it was more expensive than what I would normally pay for a carry on, it was worth every penny. It is so cute and makes for the perfect carry on! I'm also in love with the scallop swimsuit for J. Crew Factory, the scallop detail is so cute and really makes the swimsuit stand out and not look so plain since one pieces can definitely tend to look that way. I linked all of these pieces at the bottom of the post, enjoy and have fun on your spring break whether you stay home or travel! How are you spending your spring break?? Let me know in the comments section!
